How does it
work?
Power down your motherboard, insert the card
into the slot you want to use either ISA or PCI.
Power up the PC. The first
thing to look at is the LEDS across the TOP.
If you have VOLTAGE from your
power supply, all 12V and 5V LEDs should be LIT UP, except -5VOLTS if your card
is plugged into PCI. If your card is plugged into the ISA slot, then all LEDs
should be LIT UP.
If you have a CLK LED on, then your motherboard clock gen
is running ok.

Most laptop vendors have supported POST 80 from ISA and PCI slot since
the begining of the laptop design, long before they introduced POST 80 codes
into the printer port. Generally laptops
built since 2003 will support this new feature of being able
to give you diagnostic information in the form of POST 80 from the printer port.
If your DC-02A or DC-02X card shows you a "00" on boot up, then your laptop is
not sending POST 80 information to the printer port.
If your laptop is older than 2003, your stuck using the MINI-PCI
method. Which involves opening the laptop case and attatching the card to the
Mini-PCI bus. For obvious reasons the laptop
vendors have seen a need to include POST 80 codes out the printer port but it's newer
technology that is not supported in most older laptops.
You can still use this card as a
MTBF or BURN-IN using the printer port for any PC or Laptop.

This unit test CAT5 or CAT5E cable for connection. Connect one end of the
cable into the master unit, connect the other end of the cable into the remote
unit. Turn on the master unit. Master begins sending strobe signals on each pin
of the cable connected. When the master unit sends a signal on Pin 1, the remote
unit should respond by lighting up Pin 1. This indicates a correct connection of
